So it seems, I might be the only person in the world who I didn’t know the ‘cultural’ significance and origin of a second breakfast. I guess it is interesting because the only reason I know to refer to a second breakfast it’s because that’s what Ignacio talks about all the time. He is always telling me about his and how I should have a second breakfast when I get to work, after my hour long drive up the motorway.

It wasn’t until I posted a picture of my toast with marscapone and honey and labelled it a second breakfast on Facebook, was it brought to my attention that this is something that Hobbits do. Interesting, I have also watched the Lord of the Rings and this does not stand out to me in any shape or form.
