I finished baking the last of the shortbread dough

I’m still not sure about the saffron and sesame seed shortbreads. I’m not sure what doesn’t quite do it for me but I’m not finding them as irresistible as I thought I might.

I did try eating them with a cup of tea. Just OK…

On Sunday morning, I decided to whiz them into a banana smoothie. I added two shortbreads, one banana, two teaspoons of crunchy peanut butter, some oat milk and a hand full of ice cubes to the Nutribullet.

Voila – the first time I have enjoyed these shortbreads! Well that’s the plan for the rest of these baked goods.
