What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

I thought it my be interesting to explore why I would not like a question

It could because I don’t have an answer.

It could be because I don’t like the answer I would need to give as it would expose an uncomfortable truth

It could be that this question reflects a degree of contempt and disrespect that the person asking the question has for me.

It occurred to me that nobody asks me anything these days

It might be that there are no longer any expectations from me

It might be people make assumptions and therefore feel they don’t need to ask

Sometimes I find I am avoiding my own uncomfortable soul searching questions

So I thought I would listen with curiosity over the next week and see what people ask me and if I am annoyed…

He asked me and I was not at all annoyed. Because I asked him the same question back! And it turned into an interesting conversation. It also meant I left with two pairs of extremely comfortable trainers.
