Yesterday evening, while scrolling mindlessly through my social media feed, I discovered that you can cut up crumpets into little squares and make them into French toast bites. What a revelation! And just like that, I had an insatiable craving for French Toast. I didn’t immediately rush out and buy a pack of Warburton’s. I bided my time and looked at more mouthwatering Instagram reels and plotted. This morning I woke up feeling a little better than I have in the past few days (another story) and decided that I would have use the last of the Brioche Loaf, loitering in the store room to make French toast for breakfast. I cut up two slices, cut them up into six small pieces each and soaked them in a luscious egg-milk-vanilla-cinnamon mixture.

The final product was as adorable as it was delicious, perfectly complementing the beautiful new plate my friend made for my birthday. I savoured my breakfast mindfully in the conservatory, enjoying every bite of this impromptu morning treat.
