What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?
Cooked Breakfast in the morning
I don’t have a daily habit but I do have a ritual that I engage in whenever I can. When I do it sets a positive tone for the rest of my day.
When I make a cooked breakfast I am not usually in a hurry. This usually means I’ve not had to get up ridiculously early and hit the road to drive into the motorway madness. So I’m less likely to be tired. I’m more likely to be rested and recharged and feeling like a human being. It’s often the case of go big or go home so if I have time to cook, I will make something nice for myself. This provides physical and mental nourishment. Also because I’m usually cooking for myself, I can move at a rather gentle pace, slow down my racing mind and just ‘be’. I would also make sure I present it nicely and find somewhere cosy in the house to eat. Of course I’ll get out my camera and take picture and it feels like it’s almost like an rather ceremonious event, a celebration of the day before it’s fully begun. Obviously this doesn’t happen as perhaps as often as it could do. But I’m grateful when I organise myself and the universe makes room for me.
