Bread again

So I tried again at baking bread. This is loaf number 4. I bought a bag of strong white flour and did not deviate from the instructions on the packet.

Classic White Loaf

Preparation time: 15 minutes + proving

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Makes 1 loaf

Ingredients

500 g Leckford Strong white bread flour

1 tsp salt

7g sachet dried yeast

2 tbsp Leckford cold pressed rapeseed oil

300 ml warm water

Method

  1. Mix together flour, salt and yeast in a bowl. Add oil and 300 ml warm water and mix to a dough.
  2. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth. Place in a bowl, cover and leave in a warm place for 40 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 220oC, gas mark 7.
  4. Knock back the dough and roll into a ball, place on a greased baking tray and leave for 15 – 20 minutes. Dust in a little flour and bake for 30 minutes until golden.

You didn’t add gin, tonic and ice to this recipe. Are you sure you got the recipe right?😄

Ps. The end product does look fresh and lovely even without those ingredients 😉
