Lamb stew

After a lie in this morning, I felt a little bit more energised to cook some food! The past few evenings I have been ordering takeaways – burittos and pizzas, which is not a situation that should continue…

There were some old carrots and an unopended packet of celery in the fridge. In the freezer was a pack of diced lamb shoulder. Lamb stew was therefore born. This is a very tomato-rich version as there was also an opended jar of passata in the fridge, I could not remember when it was opened but thought perhaps I’d better use it up!

It’s a very comforting stew, it went well with the freshly made bread I baked this afternoon.
